Bitcoin climbed back above $76,000 even as DeFi faced heavy outflows following the Kelp DAO exploit. The attack, which drained roughly $293 million through a bridge vulnerability, has left Aave with more than $200 million in bad debt and triggered a sharp drop in Aave’s total value locked (TVL). Meanwhile, LayerZero indicated the Kelp DAO exploit may be tied to a single-point failure and said the Lazarus Group is a likely culprit, while the memecoin sector is showing early signs of recovery, with ASTEROID pushing past a $25 million market cap.
